Ash Sachdev
Senior Associate
Ash is an experienced commercial lawyer with a focus on dispute resolution and litigation. He has close to a decade’s experience gained in litigation at a national mid-tier law firm and as an in-house legal counsel for a national asset manager and non-bank lender. This breadth of experience has provided him with a practical understanding of the legal, commercial and strategic considerations that shape disputes.
Known for his empathetic and client-focused approach, Ash is committed to ensuring clients are fully informed throughout every stage of a matter. He takes the time to explain legal issues in a clear and practical way. Ash works to achieve clients’ objectives by combining strong analytical skills with persuasive advocacy.
His experience includes advising on and acting in matters involving:
General contractual disputes
Construction disputes across both the domestic and commercial building sectors
Shareholder disputes, including oppression proceedings and other disputes arising under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth)
Insolvency investigations and litigation, including matters involving liquidators, administrators and bankruptcy
Ash has acted for businesses, insolvency practitioners and individuals across a broad range of commercial disputes. In addition to his litigation experience, he has extensive experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements across a broad range of subject matters.
Ash holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne.
